born under yhread investigates the relationship between textile-making and computational logic through a network of looms connected to Raspberry Pi microcomputers.
Each touch on the conductive yarns generates data that weaves itself into live visual and sonic patterns, revealing computation as an embodied, relational, and
situated process. The project critiques the abstraction of digital systems and explores a tactile, feminist, and regenerative mode of computing—one that values
slowness and cooperation over optimization. The work exists as both installation and gathering, inviting participants to collectively rethink what a
network can be when it is born under thread rather than in code.
